But if you do and you're a happy, little AK-er (I'm sure there's *something* wrong with that as a word...) I'm going to be back up in the big state in July for a wedding. If you wanted to spread the word around, that would be great, as I have no clue how to get in touch with anyone. Just puttin' it out there. Don't know how long, but somewhere around 5 days probably. Second week of July.
Yup, so that's me. *waves* Hope things are still cookin' for whomever's out there.
Can't believe it's been almost ten years since we all graduated...

...It's been like a million years, eh?
Just thought I'd say hi.
Still alive. I like being in that category. You?
It's getting a little chilly here in Philadelphia. So it's not *Always* Sunny in Philadelphia. ;P
Uhh. I have nothing else to report? Okay, maybe just a little run-by streaking.
- The Nightmare Before Christmas did not suck in 3D. - I haven't read the seventh Harry Potter yet. - My hair is almost to my shoulder blades. Go me. - Regina Spektor is like crack. - Also? My two nieces rock.
Anything else you need to know?
I was thinking of some of you people out there from high school land the other day... *Hums Sad Lisa* *waves*

Sorry, long time no post, but I've got a new niece! She was like insta-baby. Within about 15 minutes of them leaving their house, she decided it was time, so no waiting for the parents, and no drugs for my sister-in-law, but everyone seems to be doing well. I just talked to my brother and he seems a bit dazed, even though this is the second time around.
I'm gonna have to start saving up if these girls are going to get spoiled properly. :)

This is scary. Very scary. I don't have anything against religion, and it may indeed be the best way to make some quick cash, but this is just...idiocy.
“We’ve been attacked,” he says, “by the intelligent, educated segment of the culture.”
Take a look. Be appalled.

Wow, sometimes I am so amazingly useless to myself.
One of my professors was talking to me after class this morning and I just ran away when I really do need to talk to him. He's from Denmark, and might have some useful information if I decide I want to go work over there. But no, I'm a twit. I have two other professors I need to have similar conversations with. Social anxiety disorder, much? *rolls eyes*
Grr. I really annoy myself sometimes. A lot of the time. Therapy would probably be helpful. Hiding in my apartment, probably not so much. Maybe I can hire someone to do my talking for me. Then I'd only ever talk to that one person. I'd send them out and enjoy being a hermit. Yes, that sounds like a plan.

I feel all wonky today.
Like I don't even want to skip class and stay home wallowing kind of wonky. Just wonky.
Not that I can afford to skip class, because once I do, it'll all be downhill from there and graduation is good.
Speaking of which, you're all invited if you so choose to come. Which I don't know why you would as graduation ceremonies are notoriously boring, and if I didn't have to walk I wouldn't, but all the same, you're invited.
Maybe it's just stress. Who knows. I don't.

I don't know if anybody has seen the Alaska Air ad banners that have been in hotmail lately, but their marketers got this campaign down. They are the cutest adds. Who cannot love a bunny in the snow holding a paw over its face, or a polar bear rolling over on its back. And the catch phrases are actually funny and cute. I also adore the font they use. The script and the serif go really well together.
I'm enjoying it, anyway. :)

Oh, wait, I did have more.
SERENITY! Friday! Go! I don't care if you don't know what I'm talking about, go see the movie. You'll like it. If you don't I'll reimburse you.
Oh, and this is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. Why would you even think of tying cancer to right or left-handedness? Who even though that up as a study, and I'm sorry, but 1500 people does not an accurate study make. :P

campykoala you have gotten me hooked on that Arizona Iced Tea with Ginseng and Honey TM. *slurp*
In other news I'm not entirely unpacked, but I have a happy futon waiting for any of that might happen to want to come visit... Hint, hint.
So, first day of school. Don't you just hate it? I do. But then the school!hate I have right now, knows no bounds. I can't believe I'm going to take a class without credit...but I might try to make them give me credit even though I really can't register for it. But anyway, details would require effort, and as I just got off work, I have none to spare. I am excited that I'll get to work in the costume shop again, and about my poetry class, but really other than that, I have no enthusiasm. I even told my mother (and I generally do not tell her things of this nature): If I thought I could get away with it, I would quit now. But I can't. So I won't.
The maintenence people came today and fixed half of the things I asked to be fixed, but really, not the important ones, like my lock that takes me 10 minutes to get my key into. And then I need both hands to pull it closed so that I can open it. Ass. Did I mention that that's ass? Because it is. Ass.
In other news...umm, wait, I don't have other news. :)

So... I had this really weird dream the other night where I was back at my high school (that looked nothing like my high school) and my French teacher and art teacher were madly in love with each other, and I was their favorite student. Weird.
In other news, I ran in to Danny at the bookstore today. Didn't really chat, but said hi and such. Also weird. He's got glasses these days... because I know you wanted to know that. Same as ever I guess, just weird to see him.
Anyway, heading back to schooltown tonight. Let the fun begin. Woo.

So...back in AK for a bit.
It's so weird.
Everything's the same (except for all the new shit their building everywhere), but it still manages to hit me right in the face that I *so* don't live here anymore. I don't mind, but it's just weird. Makes me feel more homeless. Because while I live in OR, that's not home. It was funny while I was visiting people, where my stuff was, was home. Like while I was at zwandy's my friend S's house was home, because all my shit was there. And my dad said something to the effect of "...when you get home. or back in OR." Also weird.
Got to see Meggo the yesterday! Went to the Saturday Market, had korn fritters, and then ice cream, and later went to one of her friends for a BBQ because Meggo found fresh corn at the Market. Watched Lost for the first time... Good show, surprisingly enough. I was wary, I'll admit, but it did snare my attention.
Dude. I miss the ocean. Not that I see it all the time when I'm here, or in OR, but the air's just different when there's that much water around. Stupid NV with the hot and dry. Had enough of that land-locked business.
Anyway. Got my kitty. Good enough for me. :)

There are things to say, and I will say them eventually, but I have a large, fluffy orange cat licking my elbow, so they will be said later. :) Ahh, the comforts of home.

Ha! Look at me! I just went to the grocery store at 3 in the morning! Seriously. Like actual shopping for like toilet paper and stuff. Crazy, huh?
So moving is done...still have to unpack and everything, hence the being up at 4:30, because I took a nap at like 7 and woke up at 12:30. Wacky. Stupid sinus headache and moving ickyness. But it's done and I'm up. Been doing a little unpacking, since I've got nothing better to do. My friend S is a life saver. He carried all the heavy stuff and it took us about half the time it took me to do it by myself with all the stuff I didn't move before. I gave him a haircut the other night. Been awhile since I've cut anyone's hair (not that I actually can, but these people seem to trust me with scissors, so what the heck. It's fun.) but it turned out okay if I do say so myself.
Well, I should probably stop munching on this donut and attempt to sleep. Or something.

On the road again, just can't wait to get on the road again...
That's a lie. :) Though I am ready to get this moving crap over with.
Well, I'm off tomorrow to hurry back to Oregon before gas prices rise another 22 cents...and move out of my apartment. And then wait five days and move into my new one. *evil glare to rental companies*
I'll be in AK on the 8th, but I think the only people I still know up there totally don't read this, so that is useless information. :)
And then I'll be back in Oregon for the duration. Excitement. Can't you just read my enthusiasm?
I do want to go home, and I do want to visit zwandy and possibly unpetitours and get a new apartment, but the inbetween stuff can get sucked in a portal and told to go away. But anyway. I think I'll manage. I just hope there's enough room in the inn. For my crap. ;)
See you soon!
Or not, whichever the case may be. :)

Hey! Look at me!
The Boss is giving me a bonus, and she volunteered to give me a letter of recommendation. Woot.
Sweet. Thought the day was never going to end, but 'twas worth it, I suppose. :)

I hate moving. Okay, not moving, as in coming to a new place and whatnot, but the actually moving of stuff. I always seem to have the worst situation waiting for me when the time comes to change apartments. I don't know how I manage it. Just never think quite far enough ahead I guess...or my cheapness clouds my judgement.
Anyway.
Went to visit campykoala last weekend! Vegas, yo. Not that that really mattered much. We didn't do a lot, but it was good to see the koala. He cooked for me and it was good. But food is pretty much a guarantee of a good time for me. :) We did go to The Strip my last night, just to bum around and let me see all the craziness that is Vegas. Loved the Bellagio. I'd stay there.
And then there was the seven hours of driving both ways... but not too big of a deal. Got to see some Joshua trees. Pretty cool, that.
Tomorrow's the last day of work for me, then I get to go move and move again and then go up to AK. Hopefully, I'll be able to sneak in a visit with zwandy before I go. :D
Anyway.
That's all for now.
